Kojak's History

Kojak's has a long history, first opening on Shepherd Drive in 1970 as a small import deli that sold great Lebanese food, olive oils, cheese, and pasta. In 1986, two brothers bought the store and started a niche delivery that imported grocery items to area restaurants. In 1996, the store closed and became a new company named Euro Mid to focus solely on import and delivery to the best restaurants, hotels, and country clubs in the Greater Houston Area and the state of Texas. Euro Mid was the largest import delivery company in Texas. In September of 2000, one of the brothers decided to reopen Kojak's to showcase all of the items that Euro Mid imported and delivered, along with some of the original Kojak's favorite foods. In 2001, Mark and Kathryn Oster bought the store and have guided the direction over the last 17 years, maintaining the same charm that was started in 1970.
